Yes – you will need a letter of referral from you GP. This is so that our consultants can get a good overview of your health problem before they meet you, this helps them to target their expert skills and make sure you are reviewed by the correct specialist.
If you don’t have a referral yet, or aren’t sure what you’ll need, please get in touch with us and we will help you. When you see your GP let them know that you are thinking of going private for their own information.
No unfortunately we cannot offer this service, but we can signpost you to local providers.
If you are self-funding your treatment and not through an insurer then we would be happy to provide for you a fixed price quote. This gives you piece of mind that what you are quoted is what you will pay.
Private health UHD do not currently offer finance packages but have excellent competitive rates. Please get in contact with us and we can help provide you with a quote.
Yes all of our rooms have Wi-Fi connection and Sky television.
Yes - there can be instances when new or very specialist treatments are not available through the NHS. With private health UHD you will have full access to all of the treatments offered by your consultant even if they are not normally NHS funded.
Our offices are open Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
Evenings by appointment only. Generally the ward is open Monday morning until Saturday evening.
There are no strict visiting hours, however visiting overnight is not allowed unless there are special circumstances and this has been agreed in advance.
There are wheelchairs for use on site usually located near all main entrances to the hospital. If you are attending with a relative or friend they are welcome to push the wheelchair. If you are attending on your own and feel you may require some help from a member of staff please let us know in advance.
Yes – you are entitled to a chaperone during any treatment or examinations which may be required.
Please let us know in advance of your appointment that you request one.
In some intimate examinations, your consultant may request a chaperone to be present as part of best practice.
Yes - Please park in any of the visitor car parks. If attending a procedure, appointment or visiting the ward, you will be provided with a free parking ticket.
No smoking is not permitted anywhere within the clinic. There are designated smoking shelters away from the main building should you require to smoke. Please note from the 12th March UHD will be a non-smoking site, and you will need to leave the whole site to smoke.
